Help with Back Pain
I specialise in providing effective drug-free solutions to help with back pain and other musculoskeletal conditions. With 17 years of experience in chiropractic care, I am dedicated to improving your spinal health and overall well-being. My approach focuses on enhancing spinal movement, which positively influences how your brain processes information from your body. This means I concentrate on identifying areas of the spine that may not be functioning optimally, ultimately helping you regain control over how you feel in your body and the world around you.
Once you decide to book an appointment, I will send you all the relevant forms and consent documents to ensure you are prepared for your visit. It's really important to fill in your medical form before your first session so that I have an overview of your health status and reasons for coming in before we first meet. Doing this before you arrive speeds everything up and helps me to focus on what we will need to explore during our initial chat and I also use this information to help me plan your physical assessment. Additionally, it gives you a chance to think through your symptoms and reasons for getting treatment so you can get across the information that matters to you.
After confirming your appointment, your first session will be a half-hour consultation and initial assessment. This includes a thorough physical assessment, evaluating the range of movement of your joints, locating any issues with your muscles and joints, and checking nerve function and muscle strength.
Following this assessment, I will provide you with a report of my findings in a subsequent 30-minute session. This allows us to align expectations regarding your condition and the proposed treatment plan. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and ensure you're comfortable to proceed with treatment. It's essential that you feel fully informed about what to expect, enabling you to make an informed decision about your treatment options.
Treatment will progress from there based on your individual needs and consent, ensuring a personalised approach to your care. Your treatment normally begins at this session. Occasionally, a chiropractor may not be what you need and if this is the case then I will explain why.
My services are designed to cater to individuals of all ages requiring help with back pain, sciatica, shoulder pain, joint pain, headaches, and a range of other musculoskeletal conditions, welcoming patients from age six and above. Here's a brief overview of my pricing structure:
New patients typically require two sessions. The first session includes history taking and physical assessment. The second session includes a report of findings, where we discuss initial assessments and create a tailored treatment plan. If appropriate, and only after the consent process has been completed, the first treatment will also be provided during this second session.
These 20-minute sessions assess the progress of your treatment and provide further care if necessary.
Approximately 30 minutes.
